Looking back as we walked to the station, we noticed that it precedes MacDonalds in
being built over a transportation right of way, in this case, the tracks, left of the picture. Back on Pen Llyn at Tyn y Parc (Barn of the Park) – one doesn't use street numbers in UK, one names one's house, so there, try to give directions – we return to our 'routine' Annie in her studio and visiting friends and contacts with Gail in tow, Phil refurbishing, Jim building and Gail
reading and writing. The picture of Annie, taken by Phil, is recent, and the one of Jim, taken by Annie, was taken Sunday May 22. We spend the days at our various tasks, an the designated chef serves dinner. Then we repair to the office, an original building on the site partly with original cob walls – straw and mud. It's the hi-tech center, with the computer, TV, DVD, etc.We watch Annie and Phil's wide and interesting selections from the Welch equivalent of Netflicks.
On Friday evening, Annie got the call that her neighbor David had just finish his sheep-shearing. Jim and Annie hopped in the van to pick up a bag of black wool – unsuitable for spinning, but fine for mulch. Wales stopped making wool for yarn a few years ago – no money in it with the competition from New Zealand.
By the 25th, the oratory is coming along pretty good.
The next day, we go to Felin Uchaf. More on that next post, but here's a peek of Gail and Phil enjoying the view from a thatched dwelling there.
