Our first post, the only one for 2009. We are in South Pasadena celebrating Christmas with Caleb and Ben, Sumana and Lena and Baby X, still staying patiently where she should be. (She was born Jan. 18, 2010, Inara, the smilingist baby ever)
We have been delighted to meet Ben's girlfriend Kat Newton Domiano, a New Zealander who's been in the states about ten years. She has a 3-1/2 daughter, Nina, who hit it off famously with Lena, 2-1/2.
We've been reflecting on the past decade: Ben graduating High School; Caleb and Ben graduating College; Caleb and Sumana's marriage in St. Louis; Jim changing jobs from Bomco in Gloucester, to Boston Boat Works, to Classic Handyman in Nashville, to ITW Dynatec in Hendersonville, to self-employed/retired the shed in backyard Nasville; Gail's switch from First UU Salem to First UU Nashville; Lena's birth and her grandmother Nong's death just a few months later: not to mention politics, internet, Ipods/phones, and Caleb's rise at Yahoo and immanent move to Omaha NE to take on a managment role.
